  • Synrad FSF400’s Preventative Maintenance Recommendations September Special!

Here at Photovac Laser Worldwide we continue to work with our customers servicing Synrad FSF400 Co2 industrial based laser systems. While the lasers are work horses, we remind the customers to provide periodic maintenance upon 5-years of use. We then recommend the lasers be checked every three years after. I highly recommend the lasers should be checked and regassed for further long term operation. This holds especially true for lasers installed on any ocean coast or high humidity region. Due to these conditions, optical shaping and beam delivery system gathers dirt and corrosion issues. The beam shaping system optics should be cleaned and changed if necessary upon maintenance recommendations.

For a limited time Synrad FSF400 and other similar models are being evaluated, tested, cleaned, aligned and calibrated for $1,500.00. This fee doesn’t include regassed laser tubes or replacement optics. Our fee doesn’t cover any type of RF repairs. This is a preventative maintenance price. You are responsible for the shipping both ways. I do have crates specially designed for the FSF400. If we do find it necessary to recharge the laser tubes or replace optics or repair RF electronics we will apply $1000.00 of the preventative maintenance fee toward your repairs. As always we will provide an estimate prior to making repairs in most cases. Exceptions will be discussed with the customer on a per case situation.

Any questions call Lisa Finnell 1.888.349.8823. She will guide you through the website, registrations and logistics getting the laser shipped to Photovac Laser Worldwide. Lisa will also help you with FDA paperwork required for out of country repairs.

    Courage!

Subject: DESIGNATION AS ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTUCTURE WORKFORCE AND SUPPLIER/MANUFACTURER

Preco, Inc., pursuant to the US Department of Homeland Security-Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency Guidance issued March 19, 2020 is deemed to be ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WORKFORCE. The Guidance from Homeland Security can be found at http://www.cisa.gov/identifying-critical-infrastructure-during-covid-19.

As the Nation comes together to slow the spread of the COVID-19, on March 16, 2020 the President issued updated Coronavirus Guidance for America. This guidance states that: If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, such as healthcare services and pharmaceutical and food supply, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”

On March 19, 2020, the federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) provided guidance on the ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WORKERS DURING COVID-19 RESPONSE in order to help State and Local officials as they work to protect their communities, while ensuring continuity of functions critical to public health and safety, as well as economic and national security. CISA provides strategic guidance, promotes a national unity of effort, and coordinates the overall federal effort to ensure the security and resilience of the Nation’s critical infrastructure.

This guidance and list of essential critical infrastructure workers includes CRITICAL MANUFACTURING which is defined as: “Workers necessary for the manufacturing of materials and products needed for medical supply chains, transportation, energy, communications, food and agriculture, chemical manufacturing, nuclear facilities, the operation of dams, water and wastewater treatment, emergency services, and the defense industrial base.”
PRECO is classified as a “CRITICAL INFASTRUCTURE SUPPLIER & MANUFACTURER” pursuant to this Guidance and by its customers and products/equipment in the manufacture and support in the Medical, Food, Defense, Transportation, Agriculture, Energy and other sectors. Preco has received notifications regarding our importance to support these critical industry sectors in this time of need and will continue to support until informed otherwise.

The Guidance is explicitly designed to inform critical infrastructure community decision-making to determine the sectors, subsectors, segments, or critical functions that should continue normal operations, appropriately modified to account for Centers for Disease Control (CDC) workforce and customer protection guidance.

Since PRECO is classified as an “ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPLIER and MANUFACTURER”, and Photovac Laser Worldwide is a supplier to Preco, Photovac Laser Worldwide would under this CISA Guidance be recognized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE DURING COVID-19 RESPONSE. PRECO is counting on Photovac Laser Worldwide to continue supplying goods and services to Preco so Preco can continue supporting the Nation in its time of need. Please advise Preco immediately if your company is facing any shutdown or restrictions.

Please share this letter with any state or local government officials to confirm your status as a Supplier/Vendor of PRECO INC, and the critical role you play in maintaining the nation’s Food, Medical, Defense, Transportation, Agriculture, Energy and other sector needs of the Nation.

  • Is price worth the cost of shoddy repairs !

I continue to have report after report of shoddy repairs from a company out East. When a company is offering you $850 re gasses and then charges you $4000 for the repair there is something very wrong. Our customers report this company doesn’t return the laser for months and months or doesn’t return it at all. I’m also receiving reports that the promised warranty is not kept. After regassing, customers report the laser fails in a month or two and is sent back for further repairs. Months can go by before you get a response or they say there is something else wrong with the laser costing thousands of dollars extra. Please make sure you are working with a reputable 3rd. party provider. Check your Better Business Bureau reporting on the company. Check with co-workers and other business that have used their service.

We at Photovac Laser promise you a straight forward answer on your repairs. Are we perfect no, but our customers posts do provide you with accurate information. We stand by our word. This is why Photovac Laser is the world recognized provided of carbon dioxide laser repairs.

If you would like to provide a post on our LASER REPORT REPORT site, please feel free to contact me. You may send us your email with your experience. We do post the customers business name and post the exact words written by our customers.

  • COHERENT K250 AND COHERENT K500 POWER MODULE POWER SUPPLY UPGRADE NOW AVAILABLE

    TO ALL COHERENT LASER USERS

Photovac RF Power has introduced its latest upgrades for Coherent K-Series power modules. Coherent power modules in the past have used the old Power-One power supplies that are obsolete. We have used the Power One power supply for years, but parts are now impossible to find and the power supplies impossible to repair says Christopher Zelich, Owner, Photovac Laser Worldwide.
With some research and cunning engineering, we have integrated today’s modern-day switching power supply into the power module. We have gotten rid of the water-cooling aspect of the power supplies and the extreme weight of the supplies and radiators. We have a plug-in Smart Interface that regulates the current of the power supply and the logic control of the Digital Display Interface Pcb.
With this new concept, we extended the life expectancy of the power modules for many years to come Zelich added. With the continuation of Co2 laser remanufacturing and RF modules, we have extended the life of Coherent K250 and Coherent K500 laser systems for a minimum of another 25 years.

For further information please feel free to contact Photovac Laser Worldwide @ 614.875.3300 or Photovac RF Power 614.957.5817.
