Subject: DESIGNATION AS ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTUCTURE WORKFORCE AND SUPPLIER/MANUFACTURER
Preco, Inc., pursuant to the US Department of Homeland Security-Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency Guidance issued March 19, 2020 is deemed to be ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WORKFORCE. As the Nation comes together to slow the spread of the COVID-19, on March 16, 2020 the President issued updated Coronavirus Guidance for America. This guidance states that: If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, such as healthcare services and pharmaceutical and food supply, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”
On March 19, 2020, the federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) provided guidance on the ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WORKERS DURING COVID-19 RESPONSE in order to help State and Local officials as they work to protect their communities, while ensuring continuity of functions critical to public health and safety, as well as economic and national security. CISA provides strategic guidance, promotes a national unity of effort, and coordinates the overall federal effort to ensure the security and resilience of the Nation’s critical infrastructure.
This guidance and list of essential critical infrastructure workers includes CRITICAL MANUFACTURING which is defined as: “Workers necessary for the manufacturing of materials and products needed for medical supply chains, transportation, energy, communications, food and agriculture, chemical manufacturing, nuclear facilities, the operation of dams, water and wastewater treatment, emergency services, and the defense industrial base.”
PRECO is classified as a “CRITICAL INFASTRUCTURE SUPPLIER & MANUFACTURER” pursuant to this Guidance and by its customers and products/equipment in the manufacture and support in the Medical, Food, Defense, Transportation, Agriculture, Energy and other sectors. Preco has received notifications regarding our importance to support these critical industry sectors in this time of need and will continue to support until informed otherwise.
The Guidance is explicitly designed to inform critical infrastructure community decision-making to determine the sectors, subsectors, segments, or critical functions that should continue normal operations, appropriately modified to account for Centers for Disease Control (CDC) workforce and customer protection guidance.
Since PRECO is classified as an “ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPLIER and MANUFACTURER”, and Photovac Laser Worldwide is a supplier to Preco, Photovac Laser Worldwide would under this CISA Guidance be recognized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE DURING COVID-19 RESPONSE. PRECO is counting on Photovac Laser Worldwide to continue supplying goods and services to Preco so Preco can continue supporting the Nation in its time of need. Please advise Preco immediately if your company is facing any shutdown or restrictions.
